Created by mountaineers for mountaineers, Ermida Gerês Camping is your "base camp" for all mountain activities at Gerês Natural Park. Located in one of the portuguese last village communities, our camping also wish to make known traditions and ancestral practices such as the cattle transhumance, (“vezeira"), goats rotational grazing and water distribution for irrigation among inhabitants. We are truly excited to introduce you to events as the delightful “night at the community olive mill”, where everyone is invited to participate in the olive oil production and get a first hand taste in a typical village dish.

This is a Rural Camping with a familiar environment, which comprises two distinct areas: one for caravans and autocaravans and one for tents. Modern and functional bathrooms ensure a comfortable use even for disabled companions. Of course this would not be a camping for true mountaineers if it had not 32, yes, 32 barbecue grills ready to cook your treats! With the purpose to offer rewarding experiences to our visitors, we have daily activity programs.
