Trento not only offers its 110,000 inhabitants a spectacular landscape of mountains and lakes, but was also recently elected as having the highest quality of life in all of Italy.

Racing with Nature

Trento is located in the northern part of Italy where the limestone walls of the Dolomites rise to among the highest in the world. Hiking the many nature trails that leave one breathless with wonder at the sight of the many wonderfully coloured lakes and lush vegetation are a popular pastime. Mountain biking is another enjoyable activity here, and the region offers some magnificent bike trails. This awe-inspiring panorama forms part of the annual Craft BIKE Transalp Powered by Sigma race that begins in Oberammergau and finishes at the majestic Lake Garda.

Testing the Waters

The many lakes in the in the Trento surrounds provide stunning opportunities for swimming, windsurfing and many other water activities. Lake Ledro has the added attraction of the remains of a bronze-age village nearby. Architecture includes medieval castles and Gothic cathedrals. Visitors can also take a short trip to the city of Verona, which has been declared a World Heritage site for its architectural treasures.
