Travel tips
Situated at the foot of the Alps, the small city of Brescia in Italy's Lombardy region has plenty to offer its visitors. The city is best known for its rich and thriving industry, and its manufacturing of many high quality products has seen it become a wealthy and prestigious part of the country. There are numerous historical sights to see, too, with highlights including the old Roman ruins of Tempio Capitolino and The Castle, which boasts some unbeatable views.
It is also close to the famous Lake Garda and Lake Iseo, where visitors can fish, hike and enjoy the wildlife and scenery. Traditional 'Bresciano' dishes are tortellini with beef and slow cooked and roasted pork, and are largely butter and beef based.
