Pietra Ligure is a picturesque seaside resort with a warm climate for much of the year. The town is located in the region of Liguria of northern Italy.
A dramatic stone citadel is located at the heart of the mainly pedestrianised town centre. Top attractions include the eleventh century Oratorio dei Bianchi, the Baroque-style Church of Saint Nicholas of Bari, and the sixteenth century Chiesa dell’Annunziata.
Wide mixed sand and pebble beaches provide a safe and inviting setting for swimmers of all abilities. One of the town’s most important festivals is the Festa del Miracolo di San Nicolo, which honours Saint Nicholas in July.
Savona is approximately 30 kilometres east of Pietre Ligure. The historic port city of Genoa is 60 kilometres away.
