Situated in Liguria, Deiva Marina is a small seaside resort on the Italian Riviera. The town is also an important hub for the local commercial fishing industry.
Deiva Marina has a pleasant old town with narrow streets and medieval houses. Must-sees include the Baroque-style Church of Sant’ Antonio Abate and the ruins of the Da Passano castle, which dates back to the tenth century.
The hills surrounding the town provide a peaceful spot to hike. Trails pass olive groves and lush green landscapes that offer spectacular views of the sea. There are also two campgrounds in and around Deiva Marina.
The town is a gateway for the Cinque Terre, a string of scenic fishing villages on the Italian Riviera. Recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the towns are known for their beauty and dramatic natural setting. Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore make up the Cinque Terre.
