The Wine
The vineyards are located at 500 meters above sea level and grow different varieties:
- Sangiovese
- Merlot
- Cabernet Sauvignon
- Foglia Tonda: a recently rediscovered Tuscan grape variety.
The wines can be shipped worldwide, with shipping costs paid by the buyer.
The Oil
The olive harvest takes place at the end of October, and the olives are cold pressed within 48 hours to obtain the best new oil. Poggio al Vento produces two types of oil:
- Perla Verde: a Tuscan multi-cultivar oil, obtained from different varieties of olives (Frantoio, Leccino, Moraiolo and Pendolino).
- Perla d’Oro: a high-quality mono-varietal oil, obtained exclusively from Frantoio olives.
