38 pitches for caravans and caravans, eight beautiful bungalows and tent pitches for a total of 20 people make the site the ideal vacation destination for nature lovers and sports enthusiasts, those seeking relaxation and families. Ulrich and Heidi Pirpamer's campsite, a five-minute walk from the center of St. Leonhard, is laid out in terraces and therefore offers a fantastic view of the surrounding landscape - from every pitch. Modern comfort as well as friendly and personal service complete the vacation flair.
The Zögghof campsite in St. Leonhard in Passeier, which covers around one hectare, offers four-star camping comfort. The 38 terraced pitches for caravans and caravans are clearly laid out and generously sized, have a direct power connection (from six to 16 amps) and a TV connection. The area per pitch is between 80 and 130 square meters, so that there is enough space for both accommodation and vehicle. This gives guests the space they need to create a pleasant atmosphere. Guests with caravans and motorhomes have comfortable and modern sanitary facilities at their disposal, as well as washing machines and tumble dryers. Showers and toilets meet the highest technical and hygienic standards, in line with the four-star category. On request, one of the two individual sanitary facilities with shower and WC can be reserved for an additional charge. The campsite also has a meadow for tents. Guests staying in tents can also use the sanitary facilities for an additional charge.
For those who want more comfort on vacation, the Zögghof campsite offers eight well-kept bungalows, which are perfectly equipped down to the last detail with the finest comfort and are in close contact with nature thanks to their location. The newly constructed buildings, measuring eight by three meters, are furnished in a modern and homely style. Each of the bungalows consists of a living room with an integrated kitchenette and dining area. There is also a sleeping area with a double bed and two bunk beds. Culinary delicacies such as bacon, sausages and smoked sausages can be bought at the nearby Zögghof farm, which is run by the owners of the campsite, Ulrich and Heidi Pirpamer.
The Passeier Valley, framed by countless peaks with numerous cozy mountain huts and a breathtakingly beautiful landscape, is a paradise for hikers. The Texelgruppe Nature Park is home to numerous fragrant Alpine meadows, picturesque ponds, Alpine mountain lakes, torrents and waterfalls.
The Merano High Mountain Trail, for example, stretches 100 kilometers through this natural paradise. The location of the Zögghof campsite - almost central and yet surrounded by beautiful meadows and forests - makes it the ideal starting point for hikes. For example, the campsite is located directly on the Passer Gorge Trail, which leads from St. Leonhard in Passeier to Moos. It offers hikers insights into an impressive world of water, landscapes shaped by the power of the torrent with hollowed-out rocks and boulders of different colors. The cycle path from St. Leonhard to Merano also runs past the campsite. This well-signposted cycle path leads along the Passer river and ends - after a slight incline - at Merano's Thermenplatz. On the way back to St. Leonhard, it is worth making a detour to the Passeier - Andreas Hofer Museum at the Sandwirt.
