Camping Spinnaker
The Spinnaker Camping Village was built in 2001 on a 40.000 square metre ground plunged into a semicentenary pinewood with a magnificent overlook to the sea. Sited on the pinewood shadow, the camping offers bungalows, mobile homes, tukuls, tent, camper and roulette sites, camper services, restaurant and pizzeria with porch, snack bar, market, swimming pool, baby club, as well as beach and sporting facilities. Due to its tiny structure, our sea camping is perfectly well-groomed and stands in a quiet and family environment. Moreover, thanks to the pinewood, the camping climate is always temperate: both shadow and pine mitigate hot weather and wind by favouring the sea breeze circulation.
In the beginning was the wind. Then, the wind found a hug turning itself into a gentle breeze. That was thanks to Oristano’s gulf long harms. The gulf of Oristano is an astonishing landfall. During the past centuries, Phoenician sailors looked at it with grateful inscrutable gaze while pirates crave for it under the burden of greediness. Today, tourists look at that same gulf gaping in wonder for its unusual beauty
The Spinnaker Camping Village commands the most astounding an beautiful sight of the gulf. Standing along Oristano’ sandy shore and Capo S. Marco and surmounted by Capo Frasca’s tableland, the Spinnaker Camping Village is located at the very heart of a 40 hectare pinewood. Facing Sardinia’s west coast, the Village is well sheltered from west winds which trail off once facing the pinewood. Both tents and bungalows are caressed by fresh wind gust and salty tang together with pine resin.
The Spinnaker Camping Village is the perfect setting for all those people who want to spend a relaxing holiday. For all guests who do not content with sea, pinewood and good readings, the Spinnaker Camping Village is very close to Torre Grande seashore tiny village. It is a promenade which always hosts nice bustle: during the summer sporting, play and cultural events follow one another, such as the “Sartiglia” repeat for youngsters, called “Sartigliedda” (a typical Sardinia’s carnival typified by equestrian running). Moreover, trips to Oristano are advisable: it is a small town with a cosy historic centre rich in monuments, with a vast offer of pubs, restaurants and any kind of entertainments.
For all those people who feel adventurous, the Spinnaker Camping Village is located in a strategic geographical position: near the village lot of extraordinary coasts stand, while other famous Sardinian sites, such as Porto Cervo, Alghero, Villasimius and Carloforte, are easily reachable within 2 hours driving. All Sardinia’s best posts are handy from the gulf of Oristano.
Last but not least: the Spinnaker Camping Village offers to its guests a wonderful swimming pool, modern facilities and comfortable and clean toilettes.
With few minutes moving from the campsite you can find some of the most astonishing Sardinia’s beaches: Is Aruttas (famous for its white sand made of quartz grains), San Giovanni di Sinis (a lamb of coast filled up with lots of beaches lapped against crystal clear sea and surrounded by Phoenician and Roman relics) and S’Anea scoada, literally translatable from Sardinian into English as “sifting sand”. In front of the latter, within few miles from the coast, it stands Maldiventre island, reachable by dinghy. A real holm with breathtaking floors and solitary tiny beaches. All these unique spots are part of the Sardinia’s west coast marine reserve.
Moreover, it has to be underlined that the Spinnaker Camping Village is easily reachable from all main Sardinia’s towns thanks to the road 131, which connects the cities of Porto Torres, Cagliari and Olbia.
