Grinto Urban Eco Village

Moncalieri (TO), Piedmont

Grinto Urban Eco Village

Today, more than ever, tourist demand is moving away from the patterns of conventional mass tourism, of hours of queuing in traffic, endless lists of monuments to visit and having to chase time together with hundreds of other tourists. Grinto Urban Eco Village in Turin, wishes to spread the new standards of sustainable and responsible tourism through the principle of very low environmental impact (based on logistical structures that make little use of concrete) and the use of alternative energy (geothermal, photovoltaic and solar thermal). Going to visit the ancient village and the Castle of Moncalieri or heading towards the center of Turin by bicycle, immersed in the nature of the Po Torinese Park, becomes a very pleasant experience that enters the heart of the visitor. Grinto is, in fact, located along the Green Crown Route that connects Moncalieri to a bicycle touring circuit spanning the province. In line with the ecosustainability of the entire village, the camper area is equipped with already covered pergola-style parking areas with fixed power and water loading/unloading connections. In this way, the facility allows its guests to stop without maintenance worries and leaves more free time to explore our area. Campers, in many places forced to leave their vehicles in unwelcoming areas, find comfort and hospitality at Grinto. The space dedicated to tents takes into account its guests' need to experience nature firsthand. The tents are nestled in the fauna towards Vallere Park and left in a very naturalistic state. Toilet and washing facilities facilitate the convenience of our guests in keeping with the low environmental impact principles of the facility. A dedicated space allows camp users to gather to spend time together. Grinto's restaurant reintroduces traditional local dishes in a contemporary way, relating them to other lands. In this context, special weight will be given to the culinary thread that links Piedmont and Sicily. Two strong traditions that have enriched Italian cuisine with world-famous products and dishes. In order for you to fully experience the area and be able to visit places even more distant, Grinto, in collaboration with its local partners, organizes food and wine and cultural tours throughout the Piedmont Region. You will learn about our culinary traditions, have the opportunity to do tastings or follow the production processes of world-renowned Piedmontese specialties, such as Castelmagno or Barolo. Torino and Piedmont are rich in tradition and cultural avant-garde. You will listen to live concerts, immersed in the gentle atmosphere of our hills. You will attend theatrical reviews, film festivals and last-minute performances. Those who love nature will have a chance to go and discover where the Po River originates, where the rice we put on your plate comes from, and the small caves that do not appear in common tourist guides.
