POSITION

In the heart of the Maritime Alps, just 800 meters from the picturesque village of Entracque in the province of Cuneo, lies the Valle Gesso Campground, nestled in a scenic and sunny area at 900 meters above sea level. This corner of Piedmontese tranquility is located just a few kilometers from the French border and on the edge of the Maritime Alps Natural Park, a protected area of outstanding beauty, a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage status. The privileged location offers a double suggestion: the mountains and, in the distance, the sea, which is only 40 km away as the crow flies. Nearby, there is no shortage of naturalistic and cultural attractions such as the Men and Wolves Center, the Royal Baths of Valdieri, the Rye Ecomuseum, the Valdieri Necropolis and the “Luigi Einaudi” hydroelectric power plant. In about half an hour you can reach Borgo San Dalmazzo and Cuneo, while an hour and a half by car takes you to Turin, the Langhe or the coasts of the Ligurian Riviera and French Riviera.

SYSTEMS

The campground covers 47,000 sq. m. and offers about 200 level pitches on grassy ground, shaded by trees and equipped, in most cases, with electrical connection (3 or 6 Ampère), drinking water fountains and gray water drainage. Areas are divided for tents, caravans and RVs, with good free Wi-Fi coverage even on the pitch.

For those who prefer a more comfortable option without sacrificing the nature experience, several types of alpine-style wooden lodges are available. All accommodations include microwave, refrigerator, 21” flat-screen TV, mocha, American coffee maker, pillows, blankets and free Wi-Fi. Heating è included during winter.

The Lodge Comfort Plus offers a furnished kitchen-living room, double bedroom, small bedroom with bunk bed plus single bed, bathroom and covered terrace with outdoor furniture.

The Lodge Deluxe, ideal for families of up to 7 people, has a kitchenette with dishwasher, induction hob, refrigerator with freezer cell, living room with sofa bed, one double bedroom, one triple bedroom (bunk + single), bathroom and terrace.

The Lodge Prestige adds a second bathroom with shower, as well as a particularly nice decor. It includes one double room and one room with three single beds.

No lodge allows pets, but four-legged friends are welcome on the pitches, with direct access to a path leading to the Chalk Creek.

SERVICES

The camping experience è made comfortable by a range of well-organized facilities. Two modern groups of restrooms offer everything you need, including disabled toilets, hot showers, washing facilities and coin-operated laundry. There are also showers and facilities attached to the pool complex.

For guests in RVs è there is a’camper service area with a vacuum plate and chemical toilet. Inside there are convenient parking spaces, one of which is accessible h24. Free Wi-Fi covers the entire campground.

The bar, housed in a historic metal structure called “Morteo”, also serves as a seasonal convenience store (July-August) and reading room. Also available to guests is a large barbecue area with 12 stations and a shared freezer for the use of siblings only.

The campground è member of the ’Ecotourism Association in Marittime and since 2008 has boasted the Marchio di Qualità “Ospitalità Italiana”.

ACTIVITIESÀ AND ENTERTAINMENT

The camp's three scenic swimming pools are a highlight of the facility: a 25-meter pool for more experienced swimmers, an area with slides for children, and a shallow circular pool with a whirlpool area. The solarium around it guarantees moments of pure relaxation among sunbeds and umbrellas.

The little ones can have fun in a new wooden playground, on swings, at the soccer or volleyball court, billiards or table tennis. There is no shortage of organized games and tournaments, as well as the possibility of renting bicycles with equipment also for children.

During the whole year, the surrounding area invites to’activity: trekking in the Natural Park of the Maritime Alps or in the Mercantour, climbing on the cliffs of Andonno, MTB routes, rafting, horseback riding and alpine and Nordic skiing in the winter months. Mountain guides and nature guides are available to help you discover flora, fauna, and breathtaking landscapes.

Finally, itineraries such as the Rye Ecomuseum Trail’or the loop tour to the Men and Wolves Center offer experiences that are also suitable for families, starting directly from the campground. A vacation that turns into discovery, play and wellness.
