Camping Ideal Molino
Camping Garda Lake Molino, by its situation on the waterfront at possibly one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy, trully deserves its 4 star rating. You are assured of a warm welcome by the owner Ingeborg, who speaks perfect English, and her friendly team.
This charming lakeside site with its shady mature trees and vines, surrounds an old water mill. This mill was once used for crushing olives to make oil. There is a pleasant stony beach at one end, while the flowering shrubs, plants and small ponds create an attractive garden like atmosphere around the site.
This is a site enjoyed by couples, families and sporting enthusiasts alike, many returning year after year.
The tent and caravan pitches all have electric hook ups, water taps and drainage some by the lake under trees, some on shady terraces others under vines.
The air conditioned bungalows and chalets are fully equipped to the highest standards, beautifull interior design and most have spectacular views of Manerba Bay with its two islands: isola del Garda e isola dei conigli.
The bar and restaurant which are housed in the old mill with its large terrace overlooking the lake, is well known for its local cuisine and wines. There is a take away service available (special dietary needs – gluten free … – can be catered for on request).
The campsite has a slipway, pontoon and buoys.
Boat rental and storage are available locally. The pretty port of Portese nearby gives access to the famous steamers which serve the many picturesque villages and towns surrounding the lake. The attractive village of San Felice is within walking distance and has many local shops and amenities.
The cities of Verona, Venice, Mantua and Brescia are culture centeres for Northern Italy and can be reached either by excursion or car. Various sports including tennis, golf , horse riding, running, biking, water skying, table tennis, badminton and boules are available on site or in the vicinity. It is an excellent centre for exploring this beautiful region of Italy.
