Aosta, nestled in the north-eastern corner of Italy about 110km from Turin, is an alpine city situated in the Aosta Valley at the meeting point of two mountain rivers, the Buthier and the Dora Baltea.
The valley lies at the foot of some of the highest mountains in Europe, providing opportunities for an abundance of mountain activities from trekking, climbing and mountain biking to skiing and kayaking, as well as access to the Gran Paradiso National Park.
