The city of Teramo is located in Italy's Abruzzo region and is known for its sloping valleys, dense population and nature parks. Two grand mountains, Laga Massif and the Gran Sasso d'Italia, overlook the city, each having very different properties and features from which inhabitants and visitors can benefit. The Laga Massif is home to lushious woods, waterfalls and gorges, while the latter, situated in the centre of a National Park, is popular with skiers come winter and attracts hikers and mountain climbers all year round.

The Roseto degli Abruzzi, with its ultra clean sandy beaches and waters, is also one of the city's main attractions. In terms of cuisine, Teramo is a big producer of chestnuts along with Millefiori mountain honey and pecorino marcetto, a creamy, strong cheese.
